Stained Glass on Deviant Art

To be honest I get irritated with Deviant Art because it allows everyone to display their "art" which is sometimes an excuse to post a picture of yourself masturbating (not joking about that). But for the most part you can actually find something really beautiful. But I didn't find something like that. I just found some awesome stained glass pictures by Akili-Amethyst, her page is http://akili-amethyst.deviantart.com/. And I felt I just had to share! So enjoy!

She has plenty more that are just as gorgoues. Please check out her deviant art page!

Fatal Hearts and Otome Youkai Zakuro

Well I've finally cleared a few routes through the PC game "Fatal Hearts" and I have to give it a 3 out of 5. It's a decent game but the puzzles are frustrating. Well some of them were. There was one involving putting roman numerals on a grandfather clock and I spent wwwwwwwaaaaaaayyyyy too much time trying to figure out just the right way to put the VIII. Even though it was right where its supposed to be, the game wouldn't accept it. I know I had written earlier that the art was anime inspired but the cut scenes were inconsistent. Some would be in the anime style and others would be realistic looking or pastel colored looking. I mean I understand that it takes a lot to even make a simple game (RPG maker taught me that) but the art should've been consistent.

From this.....
 To this!

The other artwork was honestly better than the anime one but...consistency! It just bothers me. Though at least the cut scene art was consistent with the route you take. But the story is interesting enough to make up for it. And with 14 different endings, I'm still playing through it so I guess the art would be a 3.5 for its irregularities but story I would give it a 7.
Well I couldn't sleep last night again so I thought I would watch something until I was drowsy enough. One of my friends suggested this anime to me because he thought I would really like it. "Otome Youkai Zakuro" takes place during the Westernization of Japan. Its an interesting time period by itself but in this Japan, humans co-exist with spirits. So the military makes a branch called Spirit Affairs that consists of three human lieutenants and four half-spirit girls.  Kei Agemaki, Riken Yoshinokazura, and Ganryu Hanakiri are partnered with  Zakuro, Susukihotaru, and twins Bonbori and Hozuki. The characters pictured below are Zakuro and her partner Kei, who happens to be terrified of spirits which makes this show quite hilarious.

It has a good premise and the story could've been stretched out for two seasons rather then one. I could see that they were really trying to balance out the comedy with more serious elements but in the end it just seems they tried to cram everything in the last four episodes. Character development is wonderful and all but when you have this many characters and three different love stories going on at the same time, it's impossible to do it all in one season. Maybe it wasn't getting enough ratings when it aired originally to have a second season ordered. Who knows? And to clarify something all half spirit girls in this series, are all half fox.

Yes, I know. Doesn't look a single thing like a fox to me. I thought they were all cat spirits. I mean in comparison to these girls, Holo looks way more like a fox but that's probably because of her tail.

Also it bothered me how the twins were treated in this story like they were one character rather than two separate people. I mean I thought they were adorable but I would've liked it better if they had their own personalities. The series was good enough though that I would recommend it. I liked it a lot...just not enough to buy the series.

Reverse Harem PC Games...America needs more of them!

After once again beating Princess Debut, which is a game for the Nintendo DS by the way, and would be a great game for any little girl. Nothing dirty about this game, I swear.  Just about being a princess and learning how to dance with hot princes (most of them at least, there's this one named Vince that I can't freaking stand!) I am left with an emptiness...a reminder that there are very few games like this available in the USA.

Because I really wish there were more reverse harem games like this. This isn't Japan and I don't read Japanese (yet, working on that). I do prefer dating sims though, none of those sex scenes are really necessary for me. Not that there's anything wrong with the games that do have those kind of scenes. I mean as long as it has a good story I'll play it. Its just the idea of playing those games whether on the DS or on a PC just seems kinda awkward to me.... >__>. Anyways, so I started doing a hunt to find more reverse harem games. There was a really interesting one called "Uta No Prince Sama" and just by looking at the trailer and the cover it looked so interesting and promising.

Alas, only available in Japanese. Boo! Someone make an English patch or bring it over! Though I heard its going to become an anime...or is already. Not sure. I'll look into that. Because if the anime is done I would love to see it. So I stumbled upon this game called, "Fatal Hearts", in my search. The illustrations are okay, definitely anime inspired but the story is actually pretty gripping.

I purchased it from Big Fish Games for $2.09! Who can resist a sale?! XD It's a promotion they got going on, that new customers get a huge discount on their first game. So if anyone wants a PC game from Big Fish take advantage of that promotion. I actually have a couple of games from them. Both mysteries that I really haven't gotten around to playing yet. But I will, since for a little while it looks like I have spare time. This game actually has got me hooked. I was originally only playing until I was tired enough to pass out (I have insomnia that comes and goes) but its like 3:00am and I'm still playing it. I just need to know what happens next! I got really frustrated with the car puzzle (if you play it you will know what I am speaking of the instant you play it). Anyways I am not completely sure what "Fatal Hearts" is about but its definitely a murder mystery mixed with romance, possibly with vampires and werewolves. Don't quote me on that though. It is still really early in the game for me and this is just the feeling I am getting.

On a different note, I saw "The Dark Knight Rises", which was ama-zing!

Well I loved it anyways.
I really feel that this one had a much better continuity flow then the last movie. I just felt that after Batman defeated the Joker that it just started dragging a bit. That's my personal opinion though. But this one just had an excellent flow and I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it yet but I was very satisfied with it.
I have always been a huge fan of Batman. I used to watch it all the time with my little brother. I say 'little' but the guy is humungous now, shot three or four inches past me. I'm grateful that I had a little brother, otherwise I never would've really gotten into super heroes or video games. Anime, I need to thank my older sister and Sailor Moon for. I think that's like everyone's first anime. Well I'm just rambling now. If anyone knows any good reverse harem games....PLEASE TELL ME!

Well nights or mornings depending when you're reading this.

Oreimo! My Little Sister Can't Possibly Be this Cute!

Been having an Oreimo marathon since I got my DVD set a few days back. Its really a great series. It's about a teenager named Kyosuke who stumbles on to Kirino's (his little sister) secret. That she is a hard core otaku obsessed with anime, video games, and especially eroge (erotic games) that are about little sisters. Kirino is, without a doubt, a bitch but there are moments when she acts sweet and you can actually feel bad for her (she is a tsundere type character after all). But I guess my own personal reasons for liking this series has to do more with the fact that I can empathize with Kirino's position, a little. Not about hiding her otaku hobby, though I have done a fair share of that, but her feelings of loneliness. I can relate to that. Even thought I have many good friends and a best friend that I can confide in anything,  I don't know...I just feel like I can't talk to any of them. Not talk the way I want anyways. Well the DVD set is on sale at rightstuf.com if anyone's wondering.

Oh and by the way. I am not really trying to promote anything in particular. It's just I personally get so irritated when someone won't say where they bought something, which is why I always will point people in the direction of where to get it.

Ayu, the Empress of J-POP

I think Ayumi Hamasaki will always be my favorite musical artist of all time. I received her remix album as a birthday present from a very good friend a while back. It was the ayu-mi-x 7 Limited Edition Complete Box set. Even came with some gorgeous high quality glossy posters to boot. It just amazes me how the mood of a song can be completely changed by a...remixer? I really don't know the correct terminology. I won't lie, sometimes I feel Ayu sells out a bit in order to pump out those brand new albums. I think she's averaging one a year now. I'm not sure. I have fallen behind in my collection as I am missing Love Songs, Five (mini album), and Party Queen. Though I really want to collect them all (like Pokemon XD) I can't since I have bills to pay. I really do love her and respect her for what she does. For the most part, she writes all the lyrics for the music. But I heard that lately she has been delegating some other parts like composing to others. I think that's what happened on her Guilty album and I was really disappointed with that album. Most of the songs really didn't appeal to me at first and it took a while for it to grow on me. But Rock n Roll Circus and Next Level were great albums and the music videos were pretty good too. Hopefully the new albums that I will buy soon will be just as good.

It was purchased on YesAsia.com which is a pretty reliable source for getting a ton of Asian goods that go beyond CDs. I have personally never had a problem with them. And any purchase from their actually counts on the Oricon, which is like the Japanese version of the Billboard.

Cuteness! XD

For all those bronies out there. This piece is definitely worth a look. I personally think its a beautiful piece and I would buy it if I had that kind of money to throw around. I still think its a little too much but when I consider how much time, skill, and talent it takes to make these since she/he doesn't have a factory....I guess its not so much  >___>. If anyone is interested in buying it, its sold on etsy.com and the link is below.
